Blogging Goulash...a little bit of everything

This little turkey/chicken/bird cutie is part of my Thanksgiving decor. I just couldn't resist that little gilded face. I leave him out all year in my kitchen. LOVE him.

Here's the extent of my Thanksgiving decorating. Poor Thanksgiving always gets the shaft crammed in there between Halloween and Christmas. As you can see, it looks a lot like my halloween decorations, but if you look closely, you'll see some turkey stuff too.

I found this little gem yesterday for $2. It's going to be the first thing to go in my new....

CRAFT ROOM!!
Jeff has been working diligently every spare minute to get part of our basement converted into my special room. So far he's gotten the walls up, electricity run (TONS of outlets, thank you!) and 3/4 of the drywall hung. The builders already had it insulated and 1/3 of the walls built in, so that helped a little.

Here's the view looking in from the basement entryway.

Now, allow me to show you the fun part. I have to fit all of this...

and this...
(don't breathe when you view this picture, it might all come crashing down)

and this...

and this...

AND THIS
into a 9x13 room.
Good luck, huh?
My plan is to have LOTS OF SHELVES and STORAGE. We're going to use our old dining room table top and turn it into an island with more storage for the middle of the room. Oh, and my computer and desk have to go in there too. Yikes. Sounds nearly impossible, now that I'm writing it down. I'm sure we'll figure it all out. I think it's going to be pink and green and blue, all the colors that I love that Jeff just can't live with. Lots of lace and vintage and frills, just to make sure everyone stays out!

And now, for the entertainment portion of tonight's blog post...

She sounds so much to me like a Japanese businessman in an American karaoke bar, doesn't she?

At least she's a pretty good dancer! Geez Louise, I don't see 'American Idol' in her future anytime soon. (unless she wants to give William Hung a run for his money...)

Can anyone venture a guess as to what song she's singing? Jeff gave her his old MP3 player, so she's picking up some oldies but goodies :)

Halloween 2010: Snow White Redux

My, what a difference 3 years makes.
Lili was Snow White in 2007, her first Halloween.
She barely had any hair, now her hair is halfway down her back.
She barely had a smile, now we can't keep that smile off her face!
She just has such a 'spark' now, there's no containing it.
Amazing.
